Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Educational Sciences hosted a groundbreaking meeting to shed light on the future of higher education. In the "Reverse Mentoring" program, organized in collaboration with Bilim Virüsü—an initiative developing innovative models in the fields of youth and education—10 high school students took the "mentor" seat to guide the academic world.
In this special event that flips the traditional understanding of mentoring, high school students and academics came together to seek answers to the question: "What should the university of the future look like?" Throughout the process, the youth presented solution proposals from their own perspectives on a wide range of topics, from learning styles to campus life.
As the BAU Faculty of Educational Sciences, we believe in the power of listening to the voices of young people and evolving through their perspectives. This Reverse Mentoring experience, conducted in partnership with Bilim Virüsü, has provided invaluable data for our faculty's ongoing efforts to develop the "educational models of the future."
